Family vacation
We fell in love with this island! Absolutely hands down stunning. Never been here before. Our first time and the house was amazing. Amy and Ken fit every single need. They made sure we had absolutely everything we need. We felt right at home. If I could give this home more than 5 stars I would. This was our favorite family vacation we have ever taken. We will be back! Thank you so much Amy and Ken for going literally above and beyond for us. I would recommend y’all for anyone. This home is way more than worth it. It’s a beautiful dream. Very well kept together, close to the beach, peaceful (which is my favorite) !! Not a lot of people around me. They have a local hang out spot where we met friends which was awesome! Everyone was super friendly! Overall we are very much pleased! BEAUTIFUL HOME! Thank you again!

The Perfect Shell… The Perfect Vacation
The Perfect Shell is perfectly appointed, Amy has thought of everything. We had a great time exploring the island, boating and cooling off in the refreshing pool. This was the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. We look forward to another stay.

Beyond perfect...
All we can say is when the reviews say the Perfect Shell has everything, that is far from an exaggeration. Every possible item necessary to make this a home away from home is here... even on our last day, we located items we did not know were there because there are so many amenities in place here for the perfect stay for either families or couples. And the pool is beyond unbelievable (it was so nice we were actually looking after our stay to see if we could get the same exact design for our future home).. relaxing and quiet to relieve any of life's stressors. Even the location far exceeded our expectations.. tucked away for a private, secluded experience on the island but a mere minute or two drive on the golf cart to the beach for an amazing walk on the sandbar or to marvel in the beauty of the sunset over the Gulf. Words cannot say enough here- from check-in to check-out, Amy and the rest of the team go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible.

Beautiful luxury beach house!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Perfect Shell! This home had everything we needed and more with very comfortable beds and cozy, high end furniture and decor along with easy access to the beach and a beautiful pool area. We highly recommend The Perfect Shell, it was by far the best property we’ve ever rented on North Captiva!

More than perfect!
We had the most amazing time at The Perfect Shell! Booking was easy and checking in was a breeze. We had a little hiccup and our cooler with our groceries was left on the charter. Lori, the property concierge, came to the rescue with a frozen pizza and some ravioli to hold us over until the boat could deliver the cooler in the morning! The property was in wonderful condition, was very clean and absolutely stunning! My family felt so cozy and welcomed! The appliances and furniture were in good condition, the ac worked perfectly, and there was a huge selection of movies for movie nights! The pool was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed having dinners on the screened porch, the golf cart was well maintained! Oh my gosh and the beds were so comfortable!!! My only complaint is that I can’t stay forever! Amy was wonderful to work with and was available to answer our questions in a timely manner. The Perfect Shell was more than perfect and we can’t wait to return!

Everything was Perfect!
The Perfect Shell comes as advertised, stocked with everything you need, very clean and comfortable, a true home away from home! Amy and Ken are the best host, very responsive to questions. The Tortuga management team does a first class job delivering luggage and groceries. North Captiva is a unique island that provides a stress free, relaxed family vacation. This was our family second visit to North Captiva and The Perfect Shell in which our kids picked over Disney!!

Amazing getaway!
When looking for a spring break location in Sanibel- our selections were obviously very limited by the devastation caused by the Hurricane. Luckily, this location popped up in North Captiva and we were very pleased. The Good- the house has all the modern conveniences -we spent tons of time at the pool (my son isn’t a fan of the beach). Having your own pool is a game changer and probably ruined me for future vacations. -the owners- very attentive to any questions and concerns. -the beach is amazing ***be sure to order plenty of groceries as dining out options are severely limited. In Summary- what a great place on a beautiful island!

Fantastic trip
The house was as advertised, great location, clean, with plenty of space for the 4 of us (kids 9 & 12). There were plenty of beach/pool towels and toys for the kids. We loved having the kayaks and paddle boards with nearby launch site. Washer and dryer were very well maintained and came in handy with kids and after our fishing charter. The island may still be rebounding but Dragonfly House is top notch. We’ll be back!

The Perfect Shell is AMAZING!
Best place we have every stayed! Equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need and more! So clean and tastefully decorated. Minutes from the beach. Such a beautiful island. Amy was quick to answer questions and made sure we were well taken care of. We were so sad to leave but will be back!

Perfect Stay at the Perfect Shell
Spent a DELIGHTFUL week at The Perfect Shell. The house is super comfortable, clean, and well stocked with everything one needs (especially the kitchen). We loved the quiet, the pool and its close proximity to the beach. The hosts are very responsive to questions/needs which provides a sense of security as the Island works to recover from Hurricane Ian. We definitely hope to return for future visits to the island.

Perfect peace
The “Perfect Shell” is indeed perfect! Perfect place, perfect pool, perfect peace! Our second time and no disappointments. If you’re looking for solitude, and a sense of contentment look no further. The pictures are exactly what you get. The hosts are premier.

Perfect Shell was perfect!
Our first time at Ken and Amy’s home on North Captiva. The home was spotless and exceeded all of our expectations. We were worried about possible Hurricane Ian damage to the home but not a single thing out of place or damaged. Loved it and will be back. Thanks for a great week!

The most perfect house EVER!
It is impossible to describe how amazing this house is. It is our third time visiting and we would never stay anywhere but here on North Captiva. It’s the best of the best. The owners live locally and it is always kept perfect. Any questions or needs are answered in minutes directly from the owners. They have a brand new water filtration on the whole house and the water tastes better than bottled. Owners have thought of everything to supply the home with from the kitchen to the first aid kits. House is gorgeous, pool is gorgeous, island is gorgeous. This is heaven, or as good as it gets here on earth. I could never guarantee a better place or better hosts than this house. Our family looks forward to being in this home and on this vacation from the second we leave till the second we get back there. Love love love!!

Family Vacation
Just what we needed for relaxing vacation. We loved the location on the island, very quiet. Totally enjoyed the pool and hot tub. House was clean and equipped with everything. Any issues that came up were dealt with and fast response from property managers. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Another perfect stay
Our second time at the Perfect Shell and still amazing as the first. Property is well maintained, and very clean. Everything is comfortable…from the chairs to the couch to the pool and bed! Only 30 second golf cart ride right down to the best beach on North Captiva. Thank you Ken and Amy for sharing your beach home. We’ll see you next year!
